The Gold Standard is recognized as the premium standard for carbon offsets. Supported by over 60 NGOs, including the Worldwide Wildlife Fund (WWF), Gold Standard projects undergo a strict verification process to ensure that emissions reductions not only are real and quantifiable, but also bring genuine sustainable development benefits to the communities in which they are built. Sustainable development benefits include but are not limited to infrastructure development, job creation and environmental and ecological preservation.
