Local Economy 

The economic benefits of this project come largely from job opportunities created for local workers during the construction and operational phases of the project.

Local Employment

The project created employment opportunities for local residents during the construction period as well as 30 permanent jobs operating the plant.

Local Environment

In addition to creating verified emissions reductions, this project greatly improved the local environment in which it took place by eliminating harmful landfill gas emissions from the air. The emissions contained a large quantity of methane, which before the project’s inception, created noxious odors in the local area. After the project construction the odors, as well as general air pollution created by the uncontained gasses, were eliminated. Local residents expressed gratitude for the elimination of the odors.
