Ctrip

Ctrip is China’s largest online flight booking site. Offering flights to every city in China and flights from China to all over the world, C trip distinguishes itself as both the local and foreigners’ inroad to travel throughout the Middle Kingdom. Emissions Zero worked with Ctrip to set up a calculation platform on their website, so that English site users can see the amount of carbon emissions each of their flights produce. At the end of their flight booking, C trip customers' are given the option to offset their flight or flights by purchasing offsets from one of Emissions Zero’s projects.  Because Emissions Zero’s projects are all located in China, emissions generated in China can be offset in China as well. Ctrip users are all given the option to sign up for an Emissions Zero/C trip account, which allows them to create an account with Emissions Zero that tracks their flight emissions with C trip, each time they offset a flight. Emissions Zero and Ctrip's flight offsetting features will be available on Ctrip's English site in March 2010!
